What is Good Culture Institute?

Good Culture Institute exists to cultivate a community of creatives, thinkers, and activists who are formed by good theology, equipped for cultural engagement, and sent to creatively serve the world. Founded by Sho Baraka, we seek to help individuals integrate faith, vocation, and innovation through communal learning, coaching, and collaborative action, to bring flourishing where it’s needed most.

We envision a world where the Church no longer marginalizes its creatives and critical thinkers, but instead forms and sends them as faithful agents of renewal—people who bring beauty, truth, and justice to every sphere of society. Keep reading to find out how you can be involved.

A Community of Cultivators

We desire to come alongside artists, academics, and advocates to equip and prepare them to become “cultivators” in their respective communities. A cultivator is anyone who is intentionally using their activity and vocation as a means of spiritual formation and production of good in themselves, their neighbor and the culture.

Apart from the communities they engage with on a daily basis, we have established an online community to help train and build Christian cultivators to address the loneliness and disintegration among the Cultural class. This community will allow members to work, learn, and build together by sharing feedback, engaging in conversation, and gaining new theories and practices.
